Brand new music composed and performed by our New Music Ensemble students.
Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s New Music Ensemble defies categorization by traditional standards. The ensemble blurs the boundaries between composition and performance, old and new ways of playing, acoustic and electronic music, classic and contemporary styles, and notated and improvised music. It welcomes collaboration across disciplines.
This super creative group of Fountain School student musicians explores the techniques, skills, and creative approaches of 21st-century contemporary classical musicians. They’ll perform repertoire by living composers, their own new compositions, brand new group compositions, as well as improvised music.
Dal’s New Music Ensemble is directed by Fountain School faculty member, composer/performer Matthias McIntire.
