A typical hearing assessment at the Â鶹´«Ã½ Audiology Clinic might include:
- Extensive case history interview
- Otoscopic inspection
- Middle ear assessment
- Word recognition and speech reception threshold testing
- Frequency specific hearing threshold assessment
- Otoacoustic emissions assessment
- Counselling
The audiologist and audiology students will review the results and make recommendations based on the diagnostic findings and the needs/wishes of the patient.
The Â鶹´«Ã½ Audiology Clinic does not dispense hearing aids but the audiologist and audiology students will provide guidance about the process of getting hearing aids.Ìý
The Â鶹´«Ã½ Audiology Clinic runs on Tuesdays from September to April. Please contact the clinic as appointments are limited and book quickly.
