At the Fountain School we embrace individual uniqueness and welcome diversity of thought. As we work to provide safe and inclusive learning spaces, we’ll encourage you to share your perspective, find your voice, and live in your truth.

We are an inter-disciplinary school that fosters connection and compassion across multiple areas of study through a sense of belonging and community.

Fountain School EDIA Mandate:
Â鶹´«Ã½ is located in Mi’kmaki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq. Mi’kmaki is also home to a vibrant and long-established African Nova Scotian community. Nevertheless, Indigenous, Black and other racialized communities, including 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, and persons with disabilities, continue to be under-represented within the many levels of Â鶹´«Ã½.

Equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA) are crucial to the health of the Fountain School and our relationships to the broader performing arts community. Our EDIA Committee assists our school in achieving EDIA-related goals, such as faculty, staff and student representation, inclusion in programming, and accessible curriculum form, structure, and content.
