Deadline (Application): Â鶹´«Ã½ Internal Research Awards
The Office of the Vice President Research and Innovation is excited to celebrate our research community and welcomes nominations for a broad suite of Â鶹´«Ã½ research awards:
- President’s Research Excellence Awards – Emerging Investigator
- President’s Research Excellence Awards - Impact
- Distinguished Research Professorship
Deadline: Nomination packages for each must be submitted by end of day Friday, May 10, 2024.
Submission: Each package should be formatted in a single pdf file and can be sent directly to research@dal.ca.
Recognizing that Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility (EDIA) strengthens research, consideration for EDIA practices must be given in each nomination.

Â鶹´«Ã½ President’s Research Excellence Awards
These Awards have been created to recognize the research achievements of Â鶹´«Ã½ faculty members at all stages of their careers.
There are two categories of award:
- The President’s Award for Emerging Investigators will be presented annually to outstanding young career researchers who are within seven (7) years of their first independent academic appointments;
- The President’s Award for Research Impact will be awarded annually to outstanding investigators, in any field, to recognize and celebrate major research contributions within the last three to five years that have had significant impact.

Distinguished Research Professorships
The title of Distinguished Research Professor is granted to a limited number of individual Â鶹´«Ã½ faculty members who have achieved distinction in scholarship. The title recognizes significant contributions to research and scholarship made throughout a career. It is an acknowledgement of a faculty member’s research productivity and impact.
