Applying for residence
Choosing residence life at Â鶹´«Ã½ is easy. Just follow the steps below to complete your online Residence Application.
Step #1: Pay $200 admission deposit
You must have been offered full-time admission to Â鶹´«Ã½ before you can apply for residence.ÌýIf you haven't confirmed your offer of admission by submitting the required $200 admission deposit*, please do this first.Ìý
To pay your deposit, log into your Application Portal to complete the Admission Offer Reply Form, after which you will be prompted to pay your application deposit. (Please allow forÌý2-3 business days for this to be processed.)ÌýÌý
* If registering for a full academic year only.

Step #2: Get a NetID
If you don't have a NetID, you can set one up on the . On the NetID & Password page, click on the button to activate a NetID.
You will then need to enter your Dal ID number, also known as your Student or Banner number. It is available on your acceptance letter and on the top right corner of your DalCard.
Follow the steps to complete the process. It's simple and will only take a few minutes.
Using your NetID and the password you created, you can then login to to apply for a place in residence.
Step#3: Visit Dal Online
You will need to login to with your NetID and password. Your NetID provides access to email, MyDal, computer labs, and other services. The NetID is usually two letters from your name, followed by six digits. Example: xy999999
Once you’ve logged in, select the 'Web for Students' link in the menu or click the 'Student' tab, and then follow the links to Residence Application.
Please note, there is a $50 residence application fee payable within the online application.
Step#4: Check your Dal email
Check your Dal email regularly. Residence offers will start being sent out mid-late May and will continue throughout the summer.
