Applications are now open for the invention to Innovation (i2I) Program! Only 10 spots are available for Atlantic Canadian researchers and faculty.
What?
The invention to Innovation (i2I) program helps scientists and engineers approach their science innovation with a market mindset. Ìý
Why?
Participants will be equipped with the theory, frameworks and skills to commercialize inventions, become an innovation champion in industry or increase knowledge mobilization through translational science.
After completing i2I, students may go on to participate in programs like Lab2Market Validate with $15,000 funding associated. Ìý
When?
i2I is part-time, and 8 months in length commencing in the Fall of 2023.
Application deadline: July 4th, 2023
Who?
Dal Innovates works closely with Memorial University to recruit and support Atlantic Canadian students and faculty on their journey through the national program.Ìý
i2I is offered through Simon Fraser University. All participants will have access to a national network through the online learning cohort with esteemed professors, and mentorship across Canada. Ìý
Where?
i2I is offered virtually. Ìý
Cost?
i2I is offered at no cost to the participants. Ìý
Our Partners at Mitacs are generously sponsoring the seats for those students across Canada with a Mitacs Affiliation who are selected to take the Mitacs I2I Skills training Program. Mitacs may cover other student seats on a case-by-case basis. Some scholarships or grants are available through partner research projects funding and philanthropic funding through SFU.
