Teaching Assistant postings: Earth Sciences

APPLICATION DEADLINE:  July 30, 2021  

POSITION(S):  Teaching Assistants ERTH 3001 (TA90 x 4)  

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:  Department of Earth Sciences  

PAY RATE:  According to CUPE Agreement Local 3912  

WORK ASSIGNMENT:  Each position is for 90 hours of work.  Duties are varied and will include organizing field gear, tracking student purchases, demonstrating good field practices in the field, marking assignments and note books in the evenings, and assisting the course instructors with teaching related duties. Field Schools starts on August 23, 2021 and ends on September 05, 2021.  You will need to help with field school preparations before the course starts.  

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:  Applicants should be graduate students in the Department of Earth Sciences, Â鶹´«Ã½.  Previous experience as a teaching assistant or attendance at a field school is a definite asset. A valid driver license and first-aid training are essential requirements.
