Decreasing Unnecessary Medications: Dissemination and Prioritization of Interprofessional Primary Care Deprescribing Strategies in Nova Scotia" is a Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation Knowledge Sharing Support Award funded project. The objectives of the project are to: 1) share the results of a completed scoping review and qualitative study with stakeholders using an engaging and interactive approach (transfer of knowledge from researchers to stakeholders) and 2) identify priorities for the development and implementation of collaborative deprescribing strategies in primary health care in Nova Scotia (transfer of new knowledge created from stakeholders to researchers).

The Research Coordinator will work with the collaborative, interprofessional research team, which consists of members with expertise in pharmacy, nursing, medicine, qualitative research, and library sciences.

Duties:

Under the direction of the Principal Investigators, oversee planning/scheduling of knowledge dissemination tasks, including: recruiting of stakeholders; preparation and testing of research summary materials; planning of knowledge exchange day; sending out questionnaires and collating results; administration of the knowledge exchange day; and assist with development of reports and materials from the event

  • Assist with ethics submission (if necessary)
  • Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and manuscripts
  • Assist with grant preparation, if deemed appropriate
  • Other tasks as required

​Qualifications and Experience:

  • Research-based Masters or PhD completed or in progress, in relevant field (e.g., social or health sciences, applied health services research) or equivalent
  • Experience with implementation science, knowledge translation or dissemination of study findings
  • Excellent communication skills with experience in facilitating groups
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as within a collaborative, interprofessional team environment
  • Experience with collaborative research an asset
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and reference management software (e.g., RefWorks)

Part time: Approximately 5 hours/week for 40 weeks (hours flexible, with more time required some weeks than others)ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý

Rate: $20-22/hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience
