POSITION: Part-Time Academic (winter 2018/19)
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:Ìý Canadian Studies Program, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences
PAY RATE:Ìý In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT:Ìý A part-time academic is required to teach CANA 2002.03, °Õ³ó±ðÌýIdea of Canada: Cultural and Literary Perspectives, in winter 2018/19 (January to April, 2019). The class is currently scheduled on Monday and Wednesday from 1:05-2:25 p.m. The part-time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, test preparation and evaluation, and student consultation. The part-time academic reports to the Coordinator of the Canadian Studies program.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:Ìý Candidates must possess a PhD in a humanities discipline or interdisciplinary humanities program with research and teaching experience in Canadian Studies or a closely related field. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate deep knowledge of Canadian history, society and culture.Ìý
