Limited-Term Appointment First-Year Course Instructor

The Department of Earth Sciences at Â鶹´«Ã½ invites applications for a 10 month limited term position as an Instructor beginning August 1, 2018. The successful applicant will teach ERTH/GEOG 1030 Introduction to Physical Geography (Winter term), ERTH 1080 Geology 1 (two sections; Fall term), as well as the Integrated Science Program courses SCIE 1505X (Fall term)/SCIE 1505Y (Winter term).  In addition, the appointee will coordinate and supervise teaching assistants (TAs) for ERTH/GEOG 1030, ERTH 1080 and SCIE 1505X/SCIE 1505Y.  

Minimum qualifications include an M.Sc. (or equivalent) in an Earth Sciences-related discipline (e.g., Geography, Geology), prior experience in teaching 1st year Earth Science and Geography courses, coordination and supervision of meaningful inquiry-based student projects and willingness to plan and supervise field trips for students.
