Maha Shivratri (Great Shiva Night) (HI)
According to Hindu mythology, Shivaratri or 'Shiva's Great Night' symbolizes the wedding day of Lord Shiva and Parvati. Many, however, believe Shivaratri is the night when Lord Shiva performed the Tandava Nritya – the dance of primordial creation, preservation, and destruction.
February 26 - March 2
Intercalary Days Ayyam-i-Ha (BA)
Four “Days of Ha” are devoted to spiritual preparation for the Fast, celebrating, hospitality, charity and gift giving. They are celebrated the four days (five in leap year) before the last month of the Baha’i year.
February 27
Tibetan New Year
Also known as Losar, it’s the most important festival in the Tibetan calendar. The festival is marked with ancient ceremonies, the performance fights between good and evil, chanting and passing the fire torches through the crowds. The festival is full of dancing, music and merry-making.

Shrove Tuesday
Known in some countries as Pancake Day, Shrove Tuesday precedes Ash Wednesday (the first day of Lent). Traditionally viewed as a day of repentance, Shrove Tuesday has become the last day for celebration and feasting before the period of fasting required during the Lenten season.
