POSITION: Part-time Academic, MARA 5013.03, Marine Protected Areas
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Faculty of Science, Marine Affairs Program
PAY RATE: As per CUPE Collective Agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT: The successful applicant will be teaching and coordinating the Winter Term of MARA 5013 Marine Protected Areas in the Marine Affairs Program. This graduate level half credit course will be conducted in the Winter Term of the 2015-2016 Academic year (January to April 2016).
The successful applicant is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class including planning and directing classroom-based activities, marking assignments and providing tutorial support to the students as required during the winter term.Â
The successful applicant reports to the Director of the Marine Affairs Program.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Candidates must, as a minimum, possess a Master's degree in a marine related field and hold marine protected area management experience in the field.

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Faculty of Management, Marine Affairs Program

WORK ASSIGNMENT: The successful applicant will be teaching and coordinating the Fall Term of MARA 5589 Politics of the Sea in the Marine Affairs Program. This graduate level half credit course will be conducted in the Fall Term of the 2016-2017 Academic year (September to December 2016).
The successful applicant is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class including planning and directing classroom-based activities, marking assignments and providing tutorial support to the students as required during the fall term.Â
The successful applicant reports to the Director of the Marine Affairs Program.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Candidates must, as a minimum, possess a Master’s degree in a marine related field and a law degree at the undergraduate level. Candidates must also have experience teaching at the graduate level.
