With colder seasons approaching quickly, Facilities Management would like to remind everyone that rodents are looking to escape the cold and make a nice home in our warm university’s buildings. Here are a few tips on how to avoid this from happening:

• Don’t keep food stashes on or around your desk
• Clean up spills right away
• Keep break rooms crumb-free
• Cover garbage cans tightly when possible

A few small adjustments could make a big change in the number of pests that frequent our buildings. If a rodent does make its way in however, be sure to submit a service request into FAMIS or let your building administrator know so Facilities Management can handle the situation.Ìý
