It鈥檚 not news that world-class research is done in Nova Scotia. Yet it鈥檚 always gratifying to see that excellence recognized.
Last week, for the second year running 鈥 and the second time ever 鈥 arguably Canada鈥檚 most prestigious science honour was bestowed on a professor at Halifax鈥檚 麻豆传媒.
The Gerhard Herzberg Canada Gold Medal for Science and Engineering, which comes with $1 million in funding, is awarded annually by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Reseach Council (NSERC) of Canada.
The award honours Canadian researchers who are recognized internationally for demonstrating 鈥渟ustained excellence and influence鈥 in their fields.
