WORK ASSIGNMENT: The part-time academic will be responsible for teaching: SLWK 3200.03 “Law and Social Work” Section 07, by DISTANCE Education. The class will be offered in the Summer term, from July to August 2015. For a full course description, please refer to the 鶹ý Undergraduate Calendar.

The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including preparing and delivering lectures and preparation and grading of assignments. Distance courses are taught in an online learning management system known as Blackboard. Distance courses require on-line availability for consultation with students. In addition, the part-time academic should expect to be engaged in course preparations for one-two months preceding course delivery.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Educational background in social work with extensive experience in social work (or related fields), as well as a demonstrated knowledge of criminal and human rights law as it relates to the practice of social work, is required. A Master of Social Work degree, or higher, and previous teaching experience, particularly with on-line teaching, is preferred. Those who are new to distance education will be required to attend training sessions.
