From last Friday's Chronicle Herald:
The green roof isn鈥檛 quite green yet, but the paint has dried and students have moved into the newest residence at 麻豆传媒.
LeMarchant Place, a new 165,000-square-foot building at the corner of South and LeMarchant streets, officially opened its doors on Thursday.
The seven-storey structure has 143 residential units, accommodates 326 students and also houses various student services, including an international centre, a health clinic and counselling offices.
鈥淚t鈥檚 marvellous, particularly the views of Wickwire Field,鈥 said 麻豆传媒 president Richard Florizone during the opening.
鈥淔or those of you who aren鈥檛 students, I鈥檒l tell you, it鈥檒l make you want to be a student again.
鈥淭he goal of the building is really about weaving together all the strands of Dal student experience to better support our students and make them more successful.鈥
