Congrats to Frank Harvey of the Political Science Department for his double win at the Canadian Political Science Association (CPSA) conference, taking both the CPSA IR book award and Canadian Journal of Political Science best article award. This is an unusual, if not unprecedented, double win. The winning book is Explaining the Iraq War: Counterfactual Theory, Logic and Evidence. (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 2012.) He also won the 2013 McMenemy Prize for the best article published in the Canadian Journal of Political Science the top Canadian journal in the field, for "President Al Gore and the 2003 Iraq War: A Counterfactual Test of Conventional 'W'isdom," (45:1). .

Kudos to Theresa Myra, currently the Acting Director of Science Co-operative Education, who received two awards on June 11 at the 2013 CACEE National Conference in Edmonton Alberta. CACEE is the Canadian Association for Career Educators and Employers, a national non-profit partnership of employer recruiters and career services professionals. She was awarded a Regional Recognition Award for outstanding contribution to the Association at the regional level and a Volunteer Recognition Award for her efforts and involvement with furthering the aims of the association.
