POSITION:Ìý Part-Time Academic
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Russian Studies
PAY RATE: As per Collective Agreement with CUPE 3912
WORK ASSIGNMENT:Ìý A part-time academic is needed to teach the course RUSN 1000.06 Elementary Russian for the 2013/14 academic year (Sept. 5, 2013 – Apr. 7, 2014). For detailed descriptions, please refer to the course descriptions in our 2013/14 academic calendar. The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, test preparation, evaluation, office hours, and other related pedagogical activities. An ability to incorporate elements of Russian culture/literature in classes is an asset. The successful instructor is also expected to contribute to the academic and extracurricular life of the department, such as the Russian Program Abroad, Russian Night events etc. The part-time academic reports to the Chairperson of the Department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:ÌýÌýÌý MA (equivalent or higher), native Russian language, pedagogical experience teaching Russian as a second language.
