Both University policy and provincial regulations require that individuals working with chemicals receive WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) training.
Dr. H. Martin Gillis, Chemical Safety Officer, will be presenting WHMIS training sessions located in Room 3H1, Faculty of Medicine, Tupper Building.
The dates are:

August 29Â Â Â Â 10:00-11:30 am
September 26Â Â 2:00-3:30 pm
October 15Â Â Â 10:00-11:30 am
November 22Â Â 9:30-11:00 am
2013
January 15Â 11:30 am-1:00 pm
March 20Â Â Â 2:00-3:30 pm
May 8Â Â Â Â Â 2:00-3:30 pm
May 30Â Â Â Â 1:00-2:30 pm
July 17Â Â Â 12:30-2:00 pm
These sessions will primarily be targeted to those working in research laboratories, however, people working with chemicals in other settings will also find this session helpful.
It is strongly recommended that individuals trained more than 3 years ago, also attend these sessions.
