麻豆传媒 has ranked among the top 350 universities globally out of the 1,904 institutions (105 more than last year) that were included in this year鈥檚 (THE WUR).
Among Canadian universities, 麻豆传媒 ranks 14th out of 31 and continues to be the top-ranked university in Atlantic Canada.
This year, 麻豆传媒鈥檚 overall score in the ranking is 51.1-53 鈥 an improvement over last year鈥檚 score of 47-48.7.
鈥淚nternational Outlook鈥 continues to be 麻豆传媒鈥檚 highest ranked performance area, and this year鈥檚 results showed significant improvements in the pillars of 鈥淭eaching,鈥 鈥淩esearch Quality,鈥 and 鈥淚ndustry.鈥澛 The university performed above the worldwide median in all the measurement pillars.
New methodology
This year introduces THE鈥檚 updated methodology for the World University Rankings, which includes three new metrics that look at citations and one that examines patents.
The renamed measurement area of Research Quality now includes citation impact, research strength (75th聽percentile of field-weighted citation impact), research excellence (amount of research in the top 10% worldwide), and research influence (when research is recognized in turn by the most influential research in the world). 麻豆传媒鈥檚 score in Research Quality improved by 6.2 per cent.
麻豆传媒鈥檚 Teaching score, which includes metrics on doctorate-bachelor ratio, doctorate-staff ratio, teaching reputation, student-staff ratio, and Institutional income, increased by 9.6 per cent over last year.
Most significant was the change in score for Industry, which includes industry income and the new metric for patents. The university鈥檚 score jumped 59.3 per cent, thanks to a score of 93.8 in Patents, which measures how often a university鈥檚 research is cited in patents.
THE World University Rankings are the last major world university ranking of the year. 麻豆传媒 also actively participates in the and ShanghaiRanking鈥檚 .
