(Halifax, N.S.) On Wednesday, May 6, 2015, 麻豆传媒 will host the fifth induction ceremony for the 麻豆传媒 Sport Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place at the Westin Nova Scotian in conjunction with the Tigers annual Dinner and Auction.
CBC News: Compass host Bruce Rainnie, will be the master of ceremonies of this year鈥檚 event that will see guests enjoy a reception to view silent and live auction items, followed by a three-course dinner, Hall of fame induction and live auction.
鈥淚t is my pleasure to welcome everyone to what will be an extraordinary evening paying tribute to this year鈥檚 Hall of Fame class,鈥 says 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Director of Varsity Athletics, Tim Maloney. 聽鈥淐BC鈥檚 Bruce Rainnie will be joining us for what is sure to be a tremendously successful event both as a fundraiser for athletics, and an entertaining evening.鈥

Robert Lewington (Athlete)
A member of the 麻豆传媒 Football team 1967-1970, 鈥淟ew鈥 was a team captain for two years and led the Ti颅gers to two Lobster Trap (conference) championships. The Tigers rookie of the year was also a two-time team MVP and conference all-star
Dr. Carolyn Savoy (Builder)
The Tigers women鈥檚 basketball coach for over 30 years, (1977-2009), Carolyn led her teams to 11 league and five conference championships during her career. A five-time AUS coach of the year, Carolyn holds the CIS record for most wins (858 regular season) and held a 49-game regular season winning streak from 1979-1982.
1995 CIAU Champion Men鈥檚 Soccer Team
The 1995 麻豆传媒 Tigers became the first (and only) 麻豆传媒 men鈥檚 soccer team to win the Canadian Univer颅sity Championship, and 2015 marks the 20th anniversary of this fantastic achievement.
The 麻豆传媒 Sport Hall of Fame is designed to recognize individuals and teams who have achieved excellence while representing 麻豆传媒 in athletic competition. The first induction ceremony took place in October of 2004 and since then it has become a bi-annual event for 麻豆传媒.
