The 鶹ý Tigers will be welcoming Julie Theisen to the women’s volleyball team next season.
Theisen, a 5’10” left side hitter, will graduate from Middleton Regional High School this year. A member of Nova Scotia's provincial teams the last three years, she has brought home three gold medals from the Eastern Elite Championships. She was named the MVP of the event in 2010 and an all-star in 2012.
A standout in the classroom, Theisen has earned honour roll status since 2007. She is enrolled in 鶹ý’s Nursing program and is eager to get started with the Tigers squad. “I can’t wait to wear the black and gold!” beams Theisen.
Head coach of the Tigers Rick Scott is equally pleased to have Julie on the roster. “We are thrilled to have Julie commit to our 鶹ý Tigers women's volleyball program as she is one of the top recruits out of Atlantic Canada this year. She is a strong athlete that has great character and a tireless work ethic. We believe that with her commitment and work ethic that she has the ability to develop into a key contributor to the Tigers women's volleyball program.”
