Louise Facca led the Tigers to take the McGill Tournament championship this past weekend in Montreal. In the semifinal game versus McGill, the outside hitter tallied 19 kills, 16 digs, two aces and two stuff blocks. In the championship game versus the University of Calgary, Ms. Facca had 12 kills, 15 digs, two aces and two stuff blocks. For her hard work on the court, the third-year therapeutic recreation student from Aurora, Ont. was named the tournament MVP.
Josh Disher, hockey
Fifth-year goaltender Josh Disher stepped up in the men’s hockey game versus the Acadia Axemen on Saturday, leading the Tigers to a 3-1 victory. Although the Axemen outshot the Tigers 42-21, Mr. Disher played an outstanding game and earned the AUS Subway Player of the Game award. He is a native of Burlington, Ont., and is enrolled in Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s management program.
