Teach Geophysics (introductory, exploration and marine). Research interests concentrate on magnetic properties of submarine basalt and development of techniques to survey and sample mid-ocean ridges. Supervise graduate students in various fields of geophysics.

In charge of a programme to obtain samples of mid-ocean ridge rock through development of Bedford Institute rock-core drill. My work involved the development of the drill and associated hardware, cruise planning, analysis of geophysical data and magnetic study of rock samples.
