Jen has been the Director of the SEASIDE field courses since fall 2019, and has been teaching in the sun, sand, water, and mud for SEASIDE Coastal Ecology since the summer of 2011. When not juggling all the SEASIDE things, Jen is an Instructor in Biology at Â鶹´«Ã½, teaching and learning with students for BIOL 2040 Evolution, and is the advisor for the Marine Biology Co-op Program.

Nova Scotian born and raised, Jen has been playing and working in Canada's Ocean Playground her entire life, and decided to do Marine Biology because of her fascination with all the intertidal creatures hiding in tidepools and under seaweed along the Bay of Fundy low tide zones. Her PhD focused on salt marsh ecology and paleontology, studying the treasures in the mud!
