Â鶹´«Ã½ Faculty of Management developing leaders

Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Faculty of Management has a proud history of developing leaders for the global community who demonstrate integrity and excellence and who celebrate diversity. This has been formally recognized by the , which has commissioned experts at Â鶹´«Ã½ to train the Chairs and Co-Chairs in preparation for the 2012 Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference, to be held in Halifax this coming June.

The Conference will focus on the role leaders play in building prosperous, healthy and sustainable communities. Conference members will experience communities that are embracing a positive and optimistic vision of their future. They will experience situations where leadership is required to help move communities forward on unfamiliar ground. They will see first-hand how leaders determine outcomes.

The Conference will challenge participants to explore attitudes, actions and engagement on a range of issues and experiences from local and national perspectives, including how and why effective leadership matters more than ever.

Chairs and Co-Chairs will experience a full day of intensive, inspiring and innovative training in March at Â鶹´«Ã½, focused upon self-leadership, engagement and complexity, to support them in further developing their skills in these areas in which Â鶹´«Ã½ graduates excel.

Dr Durier-Copp will visit Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto in the next two months to host information sessions on the innovative graduate programs available from .
