Dr. Marsha Campbell-Yeo receives a REAL Award
Congratulations to Nursing’s Dr. Marsha Campbell-Yeo who has been selected as a recipient of a REAL Award. Dr. Campbell-Yeo, an assistant professor in the School of Nursing, is the only Canadian recipient of a 2014 REAL Award and has been honoured for her work as a nurse practitioner.
The REAL Awards were created by Save the Children and the Frontline Health Workers Coalition to develop greater respect and appreciation for health workers and the lifesaving care they provide globally. Each year, a class of honorees is selected from hundreds of nominations to be recognized for their contributions to health care and to serve as the faces of health workers everywhere who are going above and beyond the call of duty for families and children.
A formal celebration will be held at the IWK in early July to present Dr. Campbell-Yeo with her award.
