Legal Aspects of Canadian Healthcare Delivery - future date offerings to be announced in 2025.

Professionals involved in healthcare delivery must navigate an increasingly complex and daunting legal terrain. The Legal Aspects of Canadian Healthcare Delivery offers a five-day, customized learning experience that centres on the intersection of law and the Canadian healthcare system. This in-person intensive program explores fundamental legal rules highly relevant to the daily lives of healthcare leaders and providers. The Certificate is offered by 鶹ý’s School of Health Administration, and was developed in collaboration with the Schulich School of Law and the 鶹ý Health Law Institute.

You will emerge from this program equipped to operate effectively and comfortably within a rapidly evolving legal environment, able to distinguish yourself as a legally-informed leader in your organization.

Attendance at this program entitles certified Canadian College of Health Leaders members (CHE / Fellow) to10 Category II credits towards theirmaintenance of certification requirement.

Details & Admission Criteria

  1. Completion of a four-year undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in any discipline.
  2. Applicants without a bachelor’s degree who have a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ professional experience in the healthcare sectormaybe considered.
  3. Provision of a “Statement of Career Objectives” that articulates the relevance of the Certificate to the applicant’s stated goals.

Non-refundable Registration Fee: $70

Fee Per Delegate: $2,995

Fees include: attendance, program materials, continental breakfast, lunch and refreshments for each of the 5 days of the program.Payment must be received 14 days prior to the course start date.

The price does not include accommodation. Additional information regardingany preferential hotel room rate will be provided upon registration.

Refund Policy: If you are unable to attend the program, refunds will be available on the following basis:

  • Full refund up until 14 days prior to the start date
  • 50% refund from 13 days to 48 hours prior to the start date
  • No refund within 48 hours of the start of the course.

Cancellations: the Planning Committee reserves the right to make changes to the session agenda and speakers, or to cancel the program if registration targets are not met or when conditions beyond our control prevail. In the event of program cancellation, the School of Health Administration’s liability is limited to reimbursement of paid fees only.

Certificate of Completion: participants must attend all 5 days of the program and successfully complete an open-book, competency-based, multiple-choice assessment that will be available in an online, take-home format at the conclusion of the program. Participants successfully completing the requirements of the program will receive a framed Certificate of Program Completion.
