On the occasion of the 30^th听anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the 麻豆传媒 Department of German, in cooperation with the Jean Monnet European Union Centre of Excellence, the German Heritage Language School, and the 麻豆传媒 International Centre, presented the exhibition 鈥淭he Wall. A Border Through Germany. From the Peaceful Revolution to German Unity鈥� put on by the German Government (Bundesstiftung zur Aufarbeitung der SED Diktatur). It dealt with the protests in the GDR, escape movements to the West, and the self-democratization of GDR citizens.听

The exhibition was accompanied by a reception and an interdisciplinary panel discussion with Florian Bail (Political Science), Julia Poertner (Department of German), Mathias Rodorff (History), and Ruben Zaiotti (JMEUCE) at the 麻豆传媒 Club on November 6.
