Soccer
The ACAA All-Conference Awards Banquet was held on Fri. Oct 28 at MSVU Ìýin conjunction with the 2016 Soccer Championships. During the evening, league awards were presented to outstanding student-athletes and coaches.Ìý Receiving All-Conference selections for DAL AC Rams were Sian Rankin, Brett McCavour, Chris Morash and Kristian Wolters.Ìý Receiving Coach of the Year was Jackie Ryan, DAL AC Women’s Coach.
Sian Rankin CCAA All-Canadian Women's Soccer
An additional highlight for the evening was the announcement that Sian Rankin was also selected as one of two CCAA All-Canadians from the ACAA. Congratulations to all!
Rugby
The Rams travelled to Fredericton to compete in the ACAA semi-final against STU on Oct 29. DAL AC lost 57-0 to the powerful Tommies, but improved the score from earlier matches this season.Ìý Athletes and Coaches are to be congratulated on showing such improvement over the season.
Men’s Basketball
The first ACAA league game of the 2016-17 season was played at MSVU on Oct 30.Ìý The Rams had a slow start and ended the game losing 89-46. High Scorer for the Rams was Jonathan Asedri with 8 points.
Equestrian
The DAL AC Rams competed in the second competition of the season hosted by ST FX at Creekside in the Antigonish area. The Rams tied for 1st with STFX , but were awarded the Reserve Champion ribbon after the tie-breaking process.
