Heather Doyle has accepted a two year secondment in the role of Senior Advisor, Student Success on the Halifax campus.
In this new role, Heather will provide support and guidance to the university wide strategy teams and co-chaiirs to assist in moving forward the 1.1 strategic priority. Over the next two years, Heather will be based in Halifax out of the Vice Provost Student Affairs Office.
Jill Malolepszy, who has been on the AC since October in a 40 per cent secondment role as Director of Student Services, will begin full-time in this role on February 8th. Jill will remain in the position up to a period of six months while a replacement is appointed and on site in Truro.
Jill has been at Â鶹´«Ã½, Halifax campus, since 2013 as an Advisor/Coordinator in Advising & Access Services providing academic accommodations to students with disabilities and any other characteristic protected under the Nova Scotia Human Rights Act.
A native of Montreal, Jill earned a B.A. from the University of Ottawa and an M.A from Texas Woman’s University. Prior to moving back to Canada, Jill spent 10 years working in higher education in the U.S. in various roles including the Disability Services/Career Counselling Coordinator at Edison Community College, Ìýa Counsellor at the Ohio State University and taught as an adjunct faculty member in the Social and Behavioural Sciences at Central Ohio Technical College.
