As you may have heard, last spring Premier Stephen MacNeil announced funding for development of The Nova Scotia Agricultural Sandbox (Read: ). Although it will be managed from the Â鶹´«Ã½ Agricultural Campus, it brings together Â鶹´«Ã½ and Acadia, two universities with campuses connected to rural communities, each with a focus on supporting and growing the agricultural economy of Nova Scotia. The sandbox will be established upon a strong base of successful existing programming and entrepreneurial resources at both universities.
We are excited to announce our Sandbox now has a name- Cultiv8! Besides being a play on words, through idea generation, educational programming and facilitated networking, we will strive to cultivate:

Jolene MacEachern,Cultiv8 coordinator is working on the development of a working space in the MacRae library, where she will also call home. A campus kick-off event was held Friday, November 21st with an official public launch planned for January, 2015.
